to create a world where everyone has access to the social, economic and environmental resources needed to thrive, in ways that protect and honor natural and cultural heritage; where individual and community capacity is rich and resilient, creating abundance, dignity, and self-determination for all.
RFI was founded as a nonprofit 501(c)3 in 2010. Based in Denver, CO and working worldwide, RFI has collaborated with communities in the Caribbean, West Africa, and Southeast Asia. RFI has successfully implemented projects that have resulted in sustainable food security and healthy livelihoods for over 1,000 people.
What We Do
We consult and collaborate with communities, providing the resources and facilitation necessary to enhance local capacity and support local leadership. RFI provides support in conducting a community assessment to engage residents, determine a vision for sustainability, and map resources in order to determine strategies rooted in sustainable practices that meet community needs.
